Girl Scout Day at Oaks Park |

All Girl Scouts in uniform (or present badges/sash etc) receive a deluxe ride bracelet for $4.00. No family discount. Girl Scout re-registration will also be during this event. Girl Scout may sign up for ’08-’09 Scout year and receive prizes from the Girl Scout organization.

Armed Forces Appreciation Day |

All active, deployed and reservist military personnel and their immediate families (significant other and children under 17 living at home) receive a free ride bracelet. Must present Military ID. Patriotic activities and entertainment on the Comcast stage throughout the day. Brought to you by 105.1 the Buzz.
1-2 pm- Dance performance by Pacific Dance Academy
2:00 pm- Fireboat Display on the Willamette
2:15 pm- Flag salute by the 114th Cub Scout Troop and singing of the National Anthem by Mrs. Oregon.
2:30 pm flag folding ceremony by the Sellwood VFW
3-4 pm- Music by the Power Pep Band
3 pm- Cake and balloons
12-7 pm- Operation Comfort Kits. Send an item to soldiers from the Northwest serving overseas to remind them of home! Our warriors want anything associated with Oregon or the Pacific NW. Starbuck's coffee beans, hazelnuts, marionberry jam, See's candy, Tillamook Cheese, jerky, canned nuts,,, cookies hard candy, nice sunscreen, "manly" skin lotion, pony tail bands in black, brown or tan...(none in colors or sparkly) Most of the soldiers get back to the base every night so the days of Baby Wipes and Chap Stix are gone....they just want something from home!

Benefit event for CFF Oregon Chapter. Event to be held in areas 4, 5 and 6. Set up begins at 6:30 am, registration/breakfast at 8 am, walk begins at 9:30 am. Organization is buying 200 discounted ride bracelets ($6.50 each), additional will be available for purchase at $6.50 price. Organization volunteers to distribute bracelets/collect money. Walk is a one-mile loop along the Spring Water Trail, and is to be followed by a BBQ party in their area. May begin rides at 11:00 with the P1 and Safety Patrol early opening.

Concert event organized by Portland Public Schools Students. Concerts will be held in area 1 and in the Pavilion from 11 am-7 pm. Oaks Park to supply gating and security. Private event, tickets sold by organization.

Memorial Day Weekend the Friends of Multnomah County Fair and Bi-Mart present the Multnomah County Fair. Pony rides, petting zoo, Humphrey’s Barnyard, fair foods, craft vendors, arts, crafts and floral exhibits, live entertainment on the 2 stages, “Walk on the Wild Side” reptile exhibit, Oaks Park’s thrill rides, carnival games, and roller skating, and much more!

Annual 4th of July Celebration. Gates open at 10 am, rides start at noon. All picnic spaces are first come first serve. Gate fee is $4.00 for 16 and over, $2.50 for 15 and younger. All personal fireworks and alcohol are prohibited (bags and coolers will be checked). Ride bracelets expire at midnight. Live entertainment on the Comcast Stage throughout the day. Fireworks begin at 9:55 pm.
