GETTING HERE

Something delightfully unexpected has happened on the Zoooooom Coaster. What was once a simple ride through the park has been completely transformed into The Burrow Express, a whimsical new adventure created in partnership with beloved local artist Mike Bennett. Featuring all-new theming and charming characters, this reimagined family coaster invites guests to discover a hidden world bustling beneath Oaks Park.

The story begins when a colony of local critters—clever moles, energetic bunnies, and their furry friends—decide to take over the coaster and convert it into the fastest subway system in town. Deep below the midway, these resourceful residents have connected their underground burrows with a network of tunnels and stations, making it easier than ever to travel between neighborhoods. There's just one problem. The Burrow Express's regular driver has called in sick.

Stepping in behind the controls is his wildly enthusiastic nephew, a rabbit with far more confidence than experience. Determined to keep the trains running on schedule, the young bunny has taken the wheel for the day, and every stop along the route turns into an unexpected adventure. Riders never know exactly what they'll encounter around the next bend as they zip through the critters' bustling underground world.

The Legend of Willamette Willy

Something strange has always lurked beneath the lights and laughter at Oaks Park — and now he’s finally stepping into the spotlight.

According to Oaks Park lore, for generations Willamette Willy has quietly roamed the midway after dark, slipping through the shadows and keeping a watchful eye on the park and its guests. After spending decades hidden in the background, Willy has finally decided it's time to join the team and take on a new role as a carnival game barker, proudly welcoming guests to his slimy little corner of the midway. Never one to pass up a little friendly competition, Willy now challenges visitors to put their skills to the test in a classic knock-em-down style game!

Legendary local artist Mike Bennett has lent his talents to this project, giving new life to a favorite Oaks Park attraction!

With Bennett’s signature mix of playful weirdness, local folklore, and colorful storytelling, the revamped game feels perfectly at home at Oaks Park — a little funky, a little hilarious, and unmistakably Portland!

The newly refreshed Wrath of Willamette Willy game is now ready to challenge guests during every visit to Oaks Park. Stop by, test your skills, and enjoy this classic midway favorite as part of your day at the park.
