Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month DJ Maxx Bass spins the raddest jams from the rink’s golden era—1970 through 1999. From disco grooves to hair-band anthems, hip-hop beats, and boy-band bops, it’s the soundtrack that defined a generation (or two).
Rock your flannels, JNCO jeans, windbreakers—or even your full disco sparkle. Whether you’re serving Saturday Night Fever or Saved by the Bell, you’ll fit right in as we rewind to the days before TikTok trends!

A weekend of skating and community for skating fans
It's time to experience the ultimate skate celebration—Rose City Skate Jam 2026! Over four unforgettable days, the rink comes alive with the nation’s best guest DJs, electrifying after-hours skate parties, and hands-on workshops to sharpen and expand your skating skills. Whether you’re looking to learn a new style, discover new favorite skate jams, or just roll with fellow skating enthusiasts, this is your chance to immerse yourself in the skating culture of the Pacific Northwest!
RCSJ sessions are only open to skaters 18 or older. Workshops require you to bring your own skates, and are open to skaters 14 and older.

Beer, brats, and bands are back this fall!
Portland’s beloved hometown Oktoberfest returns the last weekend in September with authentic German cuisine, Paulaner beer, live polka and folk music, wiener dog races, cooking shows, and more! Browse one-of-a-kind creations from craft vendors, while kids enjoy the Kinderplatz with games and hands-on activities, and the thrill seekers visit the rides!

Think you’re brave enough for Oaks Park After Dark? ScareGrounds PDX is Oregon's largest Halloween event! Brave your way through scream-worthy haunted houses, scare zones, and spine-tingling side attractions, conjured up by the region's terror experts.
And when you’re done running from monsters, catch your breath (if you can!) on rides, mini golf, games, and more—once you escape the monsters, the real thrill begins.
Haunt Admission: From $23
Rides sold separately; rides only operate on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays in October.
Tuesdays & Wednesdays
10-11:30 AM • 6 & Younger
Twice a week, kiddos 6 and under (plus their families) get the whole rink to themselves for a skating adventure sized just right for toddlers.
Each session is designed to help little ones build confidence on wheels and includes a 15-minute group lesson to practice balance, stopping, a snack break to recharge growing skaters, and a cuddly visit from our mascot, Chipper the Squirrel! Because every big skater starts small—let’s roll into fun together!
Admission: $13 per child
One adult skates FREE with each paid child. Older siblings may join in with their preschooler (admission rate applies).
Wednesdays
During Preschool Skate from 10-11:30 AM
We are proud to offer a special sensory-sensitive skate time with lower music volume so little ears aren’t overwhelmed, no disco lights, keeping the atmosphere soft and steady, and a quiet sensory play space, perfect for downtime when kids need a moment away from the action
This session is open to children 10 and younger, with a focus on the fun of skating in a calm setting that feels safe, welcoming, and relaxed.

October 9

Turn down the lights and turn up the fun— we're lighting up your Friday night! Roll beneath neon lights and flashing colors as the rink turns into a neon party the 2nd Friday of the month, every month, October through April!
Every admission comes with a free glow stick, so you’ll be ready to shine the moment you hit the floor. Plus, keep an eye out for our Black Out Skate specials, when the lights drop even lower, and the glow takes over for an extra electric skating experience.
Admission: $13
Glow Skate happens on the 2nd Friday of the month, October-April.

Join us as the darkness descends for a gloriously goth night of roller rink fun!
Oh My Goth! is a special all-ages skate night that embraces all things eerie. Well & Good Club will be setting the tone as our special guest DJs playing post-punk, industrial, dark wave, goth rock, and other beautifully brooding tunes. Show off your fan status in the Dead Serious Trivia Contest, take a photo at the Gloom & Glamour photobooth, and join us in special one-time-only skate games like Dance Macabre.
The atmosphere... tragic. The dress code... cemetery chic.

Step into the rink after hours for an adult-only night of skating, music, and good vibes. Join your friends and other local skaters as talented DJs spin a mix of tracks that feels more like a club on wheels than a skate session
This is the perfect way to unwind, move to the beat, and enjoy a unique late-night experience at Oaks Park.
