During the 7-9:30 PM Open Skate Session
Every 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month DJ Maxx Bass spins the raddest jams from the rink’s golden era—1970 through 1999. From disco grooves to hair-band anthems, hip-hop beats, and boy-band bops, it’s the soundtrack that defined a generation (or two).
Rock your flannels, JNCO jeans, windbreakers—or even your full disco sparkle. Whether you’re serving Saturday Night Fever or Saved by the Bell, you’ll fit right in as we rewind to the days before TikTok trends!

STEAM + SKATE Camp combines hands-on science, creativity, and active play for students in grades 1 through 8.
Campers explore real-world concepts through experiments, crafts, roller skating, and interactive challenges—all while discovering how science and engineering come to life throughout Oaks Park.

During all Skating Sessions
Get spooky as we roll out our annual Halloween Costume Contest! Show off the most creative, hilarious, or downright spine-chilling costumes around during any of these sessions:
- Kids' Morning: 10-11:30 AM (10 & younger only)
- Afternoon Open Skate: 1-5 PM
- Evening Open Skate: 7-10:30 PM
Costumes must be safe for skating and support Oaks Park's mission of safe, wholesome, family fun for all ages. With bragging rights on the line, the most important rule is: have a frightfully fun time!

Tuesdays & Wednesdays
10-11:30 AM • 6 & Younger
Twice a week, kiddos 6 and under (plus their families) get the whole rink to themselves for a skating adventure sized just right for toddlers.
Each session is designed to help little ones build confidence on wheels and includes a 15-minute group lesson to practice balance, stopping, and following directions, a snack break to recharge growing skaters, and a cuddly visit from our mascot, Chipper the Squirrel!
Admission: $13 per child
One adult skates FREE with each paid child. Older siblings may join in with their preschooler (admission rate applies).
Wednesdays
During Preschool Skate from 10-11:30 AM
We are proud to offer a special sensory-sensitive skate time with lower music volume so little ears aren’t overwhelmed, no disco lights, keeping the atmosphere soft and steady, and a quiet sensory play space, perfect for downtime when kids need a moment away from the action
This session is open to children 10 and younger, with a focus on the fun of skating in a calm setting that feels safe, welcoming, and relaxed.
Admission: $13 per child
One adult skates free with each paid child
November 2-December 15

Spread some holiday cheer at Oaks Park! We’re teaming up with KGW once again for the Great Toy Drive, helping bring joy to local families in need.
Bring a new, unwrapped toy to donate during any skating session, and KGW will make sure it finds its way to a child in our community.
As a thank-you for your kindness, when you donate a toy valued at $10 or more, you’ll receive $3 off admission—our way of saying thanks for making the season brighter.

During the 7-10:30 PM Open Skate Session
Turn down the lights and turn up the fun— we're lighting up your Friday night! Roll beneath neon lights and flashing colors as the rink turns into a neon party the 2nd Friday of the month, every month, October through April!
Every admission comes with a free glow stick, so you’ll be ready to shine the moment you hit the floor. Plus, keep an eye out for our Black Out Skate specials, when the lights drop even lower, and the glow takes over for an extra electric skating experience.

Glow Skate happens on the 2nd Friday of the month, October-April.
December 19
11 PM-2 AM • 18 & Older
Step into the rink after hours for an adult-only night of skating, music, and good vibes. Join your friends and other local skaters as talented DJs spin a mix of tracks that feels more like a club on wheels than a skate session
This is the perfect way to unwind, move to the beat, and enjoy a unique late-night experience at Oaks Park.
ID check required for age verification—no exceptions. Come ready to show ID.

5-9:30 PM • All Ages
From 5–7 PM, 97.1 Charlie FM fills the rink with everyone’s favorite festive tunes—classics parents grew up with and songs the kids can sing word-for-word!
Throughout the night, families can jump into a Christmas music trivia contest with great prizes, pose for adorable photos with The Skating Santa and Chipper the Squirrel, and enjoy a special themed cafe menu created just for the event.
Then, from 7–9:30 PM, the atmosphere transforms as Oaks Park’s iconic live pipe organ takes over. The magical sound turns the rink into a cozy winter wonderland—a moment families will remember long after the ornaments are packed away.
December 28
7-10 PM • 21 & older only
Our New Year's resolution? Skatercise like it's 1985!
Get on your leotards and legwarmers and get ready to party '80s aerobics style with full-out energy and full-out fun as our guest DJ fills the skating floor with a playlist of mall-walking-jazzercising-high-kicking hits! Forget the treadmill and leave your boring resolutions at the door—we're rolling into 2027 Jane Fonda in our soul and a drink in our hand.

"Rink" in the new year with us at our annual all-ages New Year's Eve skate party featuring a live DJ ready to take your requests, party favors for every guest, prize drawings, and, of course, a classic countdown to midnight!
- Skating Only: $27

- Spectator (18+, No Skating): $9.50
- Spectator + Champagne (21+): $14
Everyone entering the building during this special event must have a ticket. For guests 21 or older, join us for a champagne toast at midnight to wish each other well in 2027!

Step into a galaxy of glitter, glam, and groove at Bowie Skate at Oaks Park Roller Rink! Celebrate the Star Man with a night of skating to all your favorite Bowie hits.
Dress in your boldest Bowie-inspired looks and join fellow fans for a cosmic evening of music, movement, and magic. Whether you’re a Rebel Rebel or a Modern Love, this popular annual event allows you to shine like Ziggy Stardust!
